The Bakers of River Lea

The Bakers of River Lea is currently in post-production.
Every year, more people are living and working in narrowboats along the canals of London. There are more boats now than at the height of the industrial revolution.
Since 2017, the Lilla Flicka Bakery has served the River Lea community, baking around 160 croissants and 90 loaves of sourdough per week. Rain, snow or shine, Pedro still manages to bake his famous baked goods to perfection, all from the same starter.
The Bakers of River Lea is a short documentary film produced by Voice for Nature in collaboration with Long Beach Film Company. It is part of the Human x Nature Project.
